Shores started from our love of the coast, taking long walks along our beautiful beaches, we would come across jewels among the pebbles and stones. These were not jewels but bright shining pieces of aqua sea glass.
Too unique to pass by, we started to collect them and turn them into elegant jewellery for everyone to enjoy!
The sea glass we use is collected from the north east coast, mainly from Seaham where there was once a bottle works factory, discarded into the sea as waste material, the glass has tumbled for over 150 years in the ocean! This means that each piece of glass shows the scars from it's long journey. These imperfections are the value of it's heritage. We hope you see that when your jewellery piece arrives in it's perfectly imperfect condition!
